Fireworks Parking Information

  The Village of Holly Police and Fire Department in a combined effort to ensure the safety of the residents and visitors to this years fireworks display will enforce changes to parking in the event area.

  Again this year, parking will be allowed ONLY on one side of the street on Park Ave., Thomas St., Rosette St. and Holly Bush Dr. Prohibited parking areas will be marked with orange "No Parking Tow Zone" signs.
  A large area designated for the parking of vehicles will again be available in Lakeside Cemetery near East Road and the north fence line. Visitors will be directed into the cemetery by parking volunteers and shown where to park and a walkway to the viewing area will be marked with yellow tape. Two portable light trailers will also be set up in this temporary parking area. At the conclusion of the fireworks display, vehicles will be directed out of the cemetery through the East Road Gate.
  Handicapped Only parking will once again be available on the blacktop area near the cemetery entrance.
  Due to the large crowd, pet owners are asked to keep their pets at home. NO PETS will be allowed inside of the fenced viewing area.
 
The Oakland County Sheriff's Department Marine Division will be present on Bush Lake and will enforce a 500' safety area on the lake in front of the fireworks display. The public boat launch will be closed. Approximately 1 hour before the beginning of the event. The Sheriff's Department Mounted Division will have deputies on horseback assisting with the crowd control and officer's of the Holly Police Department will patrol the event area in cars, on bikes and on foot.
  The police department has arranged with two area wrecker services to have tow trucks on-site prior to and during the event. Illegally parked cars will be towed immediately to a pre-arranged location and owners of the cars will be issued a traffic ticket.

  The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at dusk on Saturday, July 4.
